Various generations living together at Assist Digital
The generation gap is something that almost every company faces today. On one side, we have Millennials or Generation Y, on the other, Generation Z or post-Millennials, each with unique characteristics and values.

Getting these generations to coexist can be challenging, but not impossible. The outcome can be exceptionally positive if the collaboration is top-notch, empathetic, and educational, just like at Assist Digital.
We currently have 303 colleagues, with 17% belong to the "older generations" and 47% from the younger ones. We understand that employees have unique values, work styles, and expectations from their teams and superiors. Because of these key differences, we always emphasize the importance of honest and two-way communication, no matter which generation someone belongs to.
Melita and Paolo working together as a team, achieve great results!
Speaking of this topic, among numerous other examples of intergenerational collaboration, we love highlighting this particular one from our office in Zagreb. Even though our colleagues Melita and Paolo belong to different generations, they get along great, and most importantly, each with their specific knowledge and experience, help each other in achieving their goals.
Paolo shared how generational differences are welcome, especially in teams. Even though their goals align, they are guided by different ways of thinking, allowing more options to reach the same objective. Paolo values Melita's long-standing work, and everyone benefits when diverse people come together and share their knowledge!
Melita believes that each generation brings its own experiences, values, and visions, not obstacles but opportunities for growth. Our colleague emphasized: 'We are satisfied with our combination because when we reach our goal, we always compare and discuss the good and better paths we've chosen (there are no bad paths 😊). That's invaluable because we simultaneously have the chance to learn different perspectives.'
Melita and Paolo told us there is always something new to learn, regardless of the generational difference: 'Continue with an open mind, strive to learn something new every day, and encourage others to do the same. This way, together, we can create a better future based on knowledge, understanding, and collaboration.' No matter which generation you belong to, join our team!
